Sniffles

I have some poems written while suffering from various diseases.
This one is from my Bronchitis series.

I was waiting for the rain to stay
On a dreary day in May
When I saw a man
Fall over a can
Which (as I was a first-aider) brightened up my day!

Also - always good to see others suffer the odd prat fall when you're feeling dicky.

I think it would stand (excuse the pun) to lose the bit in brackets. Why not just honestly rejoice in someone else's downfall? ;)

As I have a sniffle myself right now, I am tickled by the idea of "The Bronchitis Series". Come on, post the rest!

FP's right though. A series would be good.

:grin

The last line in this limerick style is a bit like that of the young man from Japan who said I try to fit as many words into the last line as I possibly can

What a fun piece! I'm laughing. I've been suffering from bad coughs for the past two weeks (till I thought I fractured my ribs), and I felt comforted when I heard other people coughing, and complaining about their entire family being afflicted with the flu. I don't want to suffer alone.

Mia :p
