A theory of love....?
There is a seed
under the snow
waiting to become
a rose. I come to
water it day by day,
watch it and
waiting it to grow
every day,
then I come to know,
this is love. |

This reminds me of Bette Midler's song, 'I say love, it is a flower...' One of my favourite songs!!! Isn't it called 'the rose'? Don't know. I like. Mia | Written by lauthiamkok (60 comments posted) 8th April 2008 | ah, thanks Mia, you always can see the positive or poetic image in my text. This piece of work is actually written with a reference from a japanese song, of cos, again, modified into my style of writing to relate to myself. Translation: Theresa Martin "The Rose" ending theme From: Omohide Poro Poro (Only Yesterday) Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed. Some say love, it is a razor That leaves the soul to bleed. Some say love, it is a hunger, An endless, aching need. I say love, it is a flower, And you, its only seed. It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance. It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance. It's the one who won't be taken Who cannot seem to give, And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely, And the road has been too long, And you think that love is only For the lucky and the strong, Just remember, in the winter, Far beneath the bitter snow, Lies the seed that with the sun's love, In the spring, becomes the rose. | Written by audrie (454 comments posted) 8th April 2008 | What a beautiful piece of writing, no wonder you wanted to take something from it and make it your own. Lovely! | Written by lauthiamkok (60 comments posted) 8th April 2008 | yes it is lovely, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JYWAYLZWZBg we as human beings tend to take things we like and make them our own, like the people we fancy/ love! ;-) |
