For several days I met a snake at the same gate, he always went his way, and I went mine.
Sneaky snake waits by the gate
Hoping I'm not late.
He doesn't want to bite me
He just wants to fright me;
Sneaky little snake.

Another lovely look into your outback life. But I hope he is not the poisonous variety though??? (I had snake emergency lesson in a zoo some time ago.) Children would love this I think. | Written by mr_soul (126 comments posted) 12th April 2008 | | Ha, the snake, although intended to be just that I assume, could be a metaphor for a person! I'm sure everyone's met a few sneaky little snakes in their time. Nice poem, liked this very much | Written by Robru (219 comments posted) 13th April 2008 | To all three above I have to say that the said snake was a very poisonous Death Adder, not the human variety at all. I did my version of the highland fling the first time I met him, but we egreed on the sharing of the space between the post and the gate after that. Cheers, Bob. |
