Love's Free

Life not hard by other's measure
An ordinary day that holds its pleasure
No flying high, no stooping low
I knew mediocre, by it, was known.

But you have made a way for me
To want to reach 'cross land and sea
To spread my wings and feel them strong
To carry me where I'd n'er belonged.

So hopeful day assures me now
That I understand the wondrous sky
And all its mysteries are opened wide
When love I tarry by your side.

I'm sure you were never known by mediocre really. It's just that when someone comes into your life and you fall in love, it just seems that way. The only thing to remember is that you have to work to keep it like this now. Many don't and many are writing of broken hearts on this website later which is a shame. Your poem is really lovely.
