It's slipping through, it's happening
Finally, as I try to grasp it wholly
She sings to me in reverse
A sonnet put to music.
I'm dying, going away-alive for a while
No one weeps and I, the only one who smiles.

No white light, no tunnels
But everything in between
From ages ago some memory
Buzzing about on a white screen.
I think, ponder,question and believe
The greatest story ever told was not meant for me.

A symphony of sound from machines
Sounds melodious
The nurse in white-pretty little thing
Makes me wish I was in my teens.
Its begun..I'm ceasing to be
And all I can think of is the legs on that pretty little thing.

I liked this, the second stanza in particular. "I think, ponder, question and believe//The greatest story ever told was not meant for me." Death poems are always interesting because there are somany differernt ways to tell it. I think Ilike yours; not very negative, and with a bit of lecherous-old-manism at the end :P

A quick note for next time; You put your poem in the "Author's Comments" box. It's really meant for a quick intro to your poem. Scrolling down will reveal the actual "Creative Work" box where the poem is meant to go :)
