Josie's Challenge--'The Dusty Book'

I apologize for the extreme lateness...I've been busy. I also apologize if the idea of this poem has alreadt been used; I didn't read anybody else's to be honest, so any plagiarism is accidental!Laughing

So much depends

upon

the dusty

book—shelved,

forgotten—

beneath

the luminous

Well done!

Well - what a good point. Children of 6 say: "Are your poems on the internet?" Adults ask: "Are they published?" Someone told me that many encyclopaedias have disappeared from libraries because people look things up via Google. However, I just loved my books when I was a child. We didn't get many in the war years, but when I discovered a library in the next town - well, my dream came true! Full marks for the poem.
Truth been told!

Yes, the T.V. has taken over the minds of our children.

And now, the only reading done is on the internet. How sad! But you did put this so well! Enjoyed this inspiring bit of writing.

My favourite word here is Dusty! :sigh
