A great illustration! Written by Katanga (1229 comments posted) 17th April 2008 | I think this is an excellent illustration of the often random and chaotic nature of our thought processes. By the way, Ned, I wanted to thank you for your very apt comment on my 'The Monkey and the Whale' just now, but I'd submitted my thanks to Mia and Josie just before yours popped up. Oh well, thanks anyway! | Written by Josie (2785 comments posted) 17th April 2008 | | Well, now I've seen it all. I'd never thought you could put into a poem all the useless expressions we use today - but congratulations Ned. You did it. ha ha. | Written by mia_ms_kim (1019 comments posted) 17th April 2008 | Another fun poem! Isn't this what you hear when a teenager is on the phone, when you just listen to one-side of the conversation? I recently found out 'sick' means 'very good' in their lingo. In fact we could do with more of it. The words incidentally are not useless provided you sound them in the right way!- they are part of life and therefore ought to be part of a writing site. I dont hold with the view that personal experience is taboo viz Christina Rosetti whose poetry I love. My next project is Ernst Jendl! I wish someone would do the erquivalent of "Whew" in another language. How about it dear Mia?

I agree aswell, there is always a place for expressions such as these, we'd find it hard to get through a whole day without them. There's even one that I doubt could even be spelt. You know, the noise made when we agree with someone, like uhu except more with an m sound. Id spell it....but I can't lol | Written by mia_ms_kim (1019 comments posted) 18th April 2008 | I might have a go at a Korean version of Whew!, Ned, after I look up a Korean dictionary - maybe that won't help.
