Thanks a bunch to all of you who made our first week up possible. You've come and submitted work, looked at that of others, and one or two of you have tinkered in the forums. For that, there's a special place for you in our hearts.

One or two of you came up with some bright ideas of how we could make things better. First off, it seems apparent from our poll that you're mostly interested in seeing others' opinions on your work. Not altogether unsurprising, since as writers we tend to place the criteria of our personal validation in the hands of the Great Unwashed. And so we bring you our first new feature:

Email notification of reviews: That's right. From now on, whenever anyone posts a review of your work, you'll get an email telling you so. If that doesn't get you scrambling back to the site, nothing will.

We were also told that it would be kind of nice to see the 'collected works' of a GW member all in one place. After all, if you've read one piece that you quite liked, you may be hungry for more. Ahem:

Collected works added to profile page: When you see Written by... at the top of a work, click on the username next to it. You'll be whisked to that member's profile, which now lists all the work they've published. This also works on username links in the forums.

Our hats go off to nascent, who has a particular talent for making the seemingly impossible work across most browsers.
