It's all in the title!!!

As i sit here late at night,

Thinking what I'd like to write,

The inspiration comes to me,

I'd rather have a cup of tea!!

Down I trot in my nightclothes,

Frostbite starting in my toes,

As I watch the kettle bubble,

Suddenly I know my trouble!!

Back upstairs I slowly climb,

Getting to my desk in time,

To lose the thought straight from my head,

May as well just go to bed!!

If you have writer's block, why not make it work for you? :) I like this, it has a nice easy rhythm and you keep the rhyme scheme simple and natural - nothing forced. And as for the sentiments, well I think we've all been there too!!!
