Silent sounds
By Bonbon
21 April 2008

I wrote this poem at school whilst we were doing our project on sound.

A fly landing on a table.
A leaf falling to the ground.
An ant trooping to its nest.
The wind blowing someone's hair.
A feather floating to the ground.
A light turning on in the distance.
A caterpillar munching on a leaf.
A bud bursting into blossom.
A snail leaving a trail.
A balloon foating through the air.
The snow melting in the sun.
A butterfly landing on a leaf.
A dream floating through the moonlit sky.

The sound of the sun setting.

Really good Bonbon. What about "A thought about someone", or "A kiss that you blow" or "A smile suddenly appearing on someone's face" - or the thought of bed. ha ha.

I'm trying to think back to when I was nine (when dinosaurs were munching on trees - almost) and remember if I could write like this. I'm sure I couldn't - I don't think I can now. This is beautiful, Bonbon.

Mia :)
So good!

Bonbon! I'm really impressed . . . again!

When I was about your age, 42 years ago, I wrote my first poem, about my teacher:

Mr Wynne is everso thin
You could fit him in
The dustbin!

How embarrassing compared to your poems!

Keep writing! John.
