dead poets society

the shallow though seemingly
better half of human nature
is a graveyard for dead poets

with its petty but forceful demeanour
it attracts a curiosity that never fails
to make you ponder at the scale of its resolve

not like children to a mother
rather like the disease that afflicts them
it is meaningless but for some ascribed term

... like germs gathering around gutlessly
gravitating towards a comfort zone
mediocre in their progress, echoing the familiar

of their mundane microscopic lives which they
never quite grasp lest they awaken to the sound of
the mirror shattering at the futility of their confession...

it offers merely the predictable for sacrifice
as they, missing the point, stay defensively
snug in their hypocritical drudgery

cowering away in self denial
evaporating like odourless incense

I've been giving your work a miss of late. While there are things about it I like, I've tired of the bastardised syntax and twisted grammar. As this piece seems to have all the words in the right order, I thought I'd comment.

Only my opinion...
It improves as it goes on, but also becomes more bitter, bombastic and aggressively opinionated as it progresses.

I shouldn't worry if this was not your intention - I have a happyhistory of getting the wrong end ofthe stick.

While it might be well written, I really don't like the tone.

Interesting that you would sum up my previous work as you do. I think that there are variances in the styles and content that I have presented on this site....Regarding tone etc...yes it was my intention...
