Deep Down South

Inspired by and based on the classic film.

"Let's have no talk of civil war
I find the subject such a bore!"
Proclaimed Rhett Butler (played by Gable)
 Seated at the dining table.

Miss Ellen, with an air refined
Placed moist red lips to fine red wine
But Gerald was the suavest yet
 Displaying well-bred etiquette.

Young Scarlett, in her fine lace gown
Looked on aghast and gave a frown
For Rhett - the cocky, dashing rogue
Had just unleashed the mother load.

 Yet nonchalant the rakish man
Just pushed aside his plate of ham.
"Tis true my buttocks may have blustered
gorging on this ham and mustard
but frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

With scarlett gown and scarlett cheeks
  The blushing Scarlett dashed away
Wilst Rhett inhaled his home-grown reek
  'Tomorrow is another day'.
