POETRY MEANS

Hello

I've been in deep thought about the subject of what my next work should be.
On reflection I thought to attempt puting my feeling around poetry in poetry. Let me know if it works

Poetry

Poetry enables me to fly

Sets emotions free

No matter

It be

 laughter

Comic rhyme brings

or

tears that spring

When sonnets sing

No longer must I dwell

In the dark of

 Thundering nights

 I can Bask

In the glow of

 summer's light

Through their words

My voice can been heard

Interesting to know what it means to you. I guess we all read and write for different reasons. I'm not that keen on writing about writing but this does put your feelings across. I'm no poet, but avoiding unusual word order such as: Bask can I - will improve your work. Try - I can bask. Hope this helps.
