The sunlight floods
the garden with it’s comforting embrace. It illuminates and gives life
to the plants that it touches. I sit, quietly watching this majestic
phenomenon. There is coldness in my heart that is slowly warming as I observe this sight.
My eyes wander and
their focus becomes fixed on the tulips. There Bell shapes always seem
to remind me of The Beauty and the Beast. Maybe it’s the colors or
maybe the shape. Whichever it is, I thoroughly enjoy looking at this
plant. The flowers invoke a subtle joy within me that is momentary, but
unforgettable. When I close my eyes and try to picture the tulip, my
first image is always that of a yellow tulip. Maybe, yellow is truly my
favorite color or maybe yellow is the color that tulips look best in.
Part of me disagrees with the latter; purple is most definitely the
prettiest shade of tulip. But, why purple? As a child,
my favorite ninja turtle was Donatello with his purple headband. I
looked up to that amphibian. He inspired me to dream. That cartoon
inspired me too create. But, why did he choose the purple headband?
Maybe Donatello was a descendant of an ancient royal line of turtle
emperors or maybe he had a deep sadness within him because purple is
the color of mourning for widows in Thailand. But, then again,
Donatello isn’t a widow and ninjas didn’t originate in Thailand.
I digress. Spring is magical.

I liked this, both for the style and the originality. | Written by TwistedTales (454 comments posted) 4th May 2008 | It is also i think the color of prosperity in China... ...a funny read...i liked the description about the head band..now why would the turtle wear purple?..hmm...food for thought.
