Afghan Barbecue

Afghanistan calls out from camel humps
While in your settee shuffled newspaper
On dusty fields of arid sun-kissed caper
I Whistle while whizzing ear shot thumps

The poor bastard like some relic from a story
To my love’s 200 yards Carrabin to shoulder
Halt I whisper bastard nothing more the order
He puts it in reverse sand bitten bearded glory

Soldier of LNG massive gas pipeline on some deal
Where Betsy’s home fired oven and veal
Cutlets for the barbecue this summer's meal
Peppered poppy seed dragon sauce on the go
