Not quite sure why I've posted this. I think it must be the heat affecting my judgement. In fact I think I imagine him reciting the lyrics rather than singing.

I underschtand the reaschun why
Your schentimentel, cusch sho am I
Isch delightful
Isch delischious
Isch de-luvly.

Does Sean Connery talk like that? Never noticed it. Got to look a few 007 movies again I think.

I thought this was very funny and then I read Maus's comment and laughed out loud. Does he talk like that????
He's such a versatile actor, he can play a lisping Scot in any century or nationality you ask.
A wicked little piece

Enjoyed very much. Venerated by many a Scot, he needs the odd poke (in the ribs) every so often.

Good stuff.

Brett. you are getting madder and madder. Is it the heat, or maybe the pint-sized Martinis?

I thought the poem was depicting Sean Connery when he's had a strong drink or two. So it's his Scottish accent combined with a speech impediment? Now I think about it, he does sound a little like that. I think it's rather charming.
