Here At Home

Song lyrics written long ago for a lady friend

I’ll stay home

I’ll be lazy

I’ll take time

To settle down easy

Here at home

I know, I can take the time

To hold you in my arms

Always feeling safe from harm

When I’m home

There’s a lady

She takes time

To settle down easy

Here at home

She knows, she can take the time

To hold me in her arms

Always feeling safe from harm

With you by my side

I’m bound to get over

The time that I spent without you

With you by my side baby

My searching is over

Give us one smile

And in just a little while

We’ll be home

We’ll be cozy

We’ll take time

To settle down easy

Here at home

We know, we can take the time

Always feeling safe from harm

Wrapped in one another’s arms

With you by my side

I’m bound to get over

The time that I spent without you

With you by my side baby

My searching is over

Give us one smile

And in just a little while

We’ll be home

Here at home

The problem with song lyrics Stephen is that unless you can hear the music which goes with the words, it is impossible to appreciate it. Is the music on the internet? As regards being at home, I know exactly what you mean - but I guess that could be because I have a nice home. The word "home" might feel different if home was somewhere dreadful. I think of the black shanty towns I saw in South Africa. Black people living in places worse than we would keep a bicycle here, whilst the shites were living the high life. hmmmmm Yes - "home" can be different for different people and not always safe.
