Ozzy the Obnoxious Elephant

  A maxibeast poem.

      Oh,
      Oh, I see
      Bananas for the monkeys!
      Favouritism, is it?
I'll have you know that I never forget a face
So you're dead meat, sonny Jim
      Now sod off
     I dont like buns.

And how come the penguins get fish?
I could go for a nice piece of haddock,
     Perhaps some chips.

     Who you calling Big Nose?

I seem to have started something with these beastie poems. They're getting very popular aren't they? Are you sure that he said "Sod off" - I think it might have been something else, and anyway, animals show their disgust in other disguisting ways. Have you asked the zoo for elephant dung for the roses? (Whatever are we coming to on this website?).

I'm pretty sure Ozzy didn't say 'sod off' either. Have you ever seen a disgruntled elephant? I'll bet they swear like troopers.

I wonder, does he know the tigers get steak? He'll be bloody fuming.

Really liked this one. I think obnoxious teenagers will love it, too. Maybe this is the way we can get to difficult kids, poems that can reflect them, providing a kind of empathy and catharsis. But an angry elephant is no laughing matter.
