My Fragrant Febuary Flower

There is actually a flower named the Daphne Plant and I have made a poem about this rare plant. We have one in our backgarden smells lovely!!! Wink

D- Daphne plant that smells so sweet,
A- Always looks good in a rockery neat.
P- Petite, pink petals with tinted deep rose-pink,
H- Hooray for the "Daphne "O" Dora" it makes you think!
N- Neat pointy leaves that shine in the sun,
E- Evergreen it stays, when the year is done.

P- Passing scents waft by in the breeze,
L- Lying in the garden they sway with ease.
A- As another day passes it spreads its bloom,
N- Now is the time to fragrance your room.
T- Time now to say goodbye the Daphne Plant will NEVER NEVER DIE!

I think this is a lovely poem Daphne. I have done acrostic poems too and they are quite difficult, but you have carried the lovely theme of this flower successfully all the way through. The font which you have chosen is much, much nicer than in the last poem too. I liked the last line - the Daphne plant will never never die. I am not sure if I know it, but I will look it up. Very nice.
thanks

Indeed a well done poem. Both acrostic and rhyming. I like poems that have a certain system behind them.
