I wrote this distracting myself from my double faced lab buddy.

Don't talk to me
Like you know me.
I am indifferent,
I am stone.
Part of the scene,
There but not really.

Don't smile like were friends,
Don't glare like were enemies.

We are mutual, we are together,
but not for each other.
There is an gray area between us.
Opposite sides, this table is the line.

Never cross to say hello,
Never reach across.

If you'll do you'll find nothing,
Nothing at all.
Not a smile, not an evil grinning face,
Nothing.

We are indifferent,
We are here,
But not for the other.

Yes, I like this, one thing about school is you can't always choose who you have to work with. Sometimes you have to work with people you'd rather not. I suppose, in a way, it's a lesson for life.
As for this, you set out very well I think the two-faced nature of people, and how uncomfortable you can feel when faced with them. Do you return a smile when you know it's false? I thought you put so much emotion into this that it made the poem really, it gave a powerful image of your view and made for an interesting read
