The Sound Of Bells
By Rattle_Spear
26 November 2005
Bells are ringing; It's not Christmas?
Bells are ringing; It's not Vegas?
Bells are ringing; It's not Carpe Dem?
Bells are ringing; It's not Gold Reef City?
Bells are ringing; It's not voices in my head!

Maybe, just maybe, It's Carnival City?
Maybe it's Lady Luck calling to me?
Maybe even my Fairy God Mother?
Maybe even Lucifer?

I must hear them clearer.
I must try and get nearer.
Will they bring joy?
Will they bring laughter?
Will they bring fortune?
Will they bring happiness?

I see the lights now.
I can hear the laughter.
I smell the scent of Fortune!
I now conclude; It was Lucifer's bells!

I think I

feel like this most days, sometimes several times a day!
I agree with the sentiments you have expressed here and I like the formatting of this piece. :grin

I enjoyed the way you lead us to believe that the bells are a lucky omen, signfying hope, which brings anticipation of things to come from your character. With all the good things going on around us, there is also the poor unfortunate soul.

This is what it said to me. I like this, and I would stick to this format as well.

Alice,
Thanks for the two reviews. If Einstein’s Relativity Theory were true, then why are we not all relatives?
Why are all politicians not political?
Have fun.
