Musings S1, a constant work in free verse

This is what I do when I feel emotional, stressed, overtaxed, or I just feel like it... It's a dark and brooding work, filled with confusion and uncertainty...

Walk through this ancient forest
Following the shadowed dawn
Lurking like a fallen hero
Searching for something never there
My thought chaotic
Just as my purpose
Never knowing what will come
Heed the cry of darkness come
Follow the road of nothing
Wand'ring silent, lost and broken
Without others, friend or foe
Moving silence still unspoken
My many trials, A dusty road
Where I walk I shall not go
For grins or circles
I shall not go
Stepping Stepping
Footsteps Fading
Walking forever lost
Tatter'd finery flows behind me
Tap'stry to that dusty road
Trav'sty to the hero's Code
Windswept Wand'rings
Wildly Waiting, Wishing
For that Dark Unknown
Adventure calling
Darkness Falling
The Fae Folk asking me to go
Where I'm going, I shan't know.

As I'm Wand'ring
Lost but seeking
All those things that shan't be found
Bending bridges, forging paths
My feet hammers, the earth to pound
Shaping trails for some to follow
Trails of shadows, walls and groves
Searching Seeking Hunting Crying
This poor coveted thing
This lost and hidden thing
For which I forever seek
Will I find it, I shan't know
