Queen of May
By Jerry
16 May 2008
Queen of May

I
Queen of May
Scent of Spring
Noble maid
Lily’s beat:

II
Hear now tears
From my heart
Deep, (so), deep wells -
Oh my lark!

III
My poor heart
Has become
The whistle
Of mean spring.

IV
Do you make
Fun of me
‘Cause my flaps
Sport so free?

V
I make my
Nest with birds –
'Siwi' – with
Lushy wings

VI
Wet wings I,
Am, but swift
As the eyes
Of eagle beak.

A little spring verse!
