Keyhole

I need help with this one, something sounds funny but can't place my finger on it.

A cantankerous ruffled parrot

paces in his oppressive cage.

Always trying to escape.

Demanding seed,

Water,

Something unknown.

A crusty decaying man

grumbles in his carnal prison.

Always trying to escape.

Demanding youth,

Vigor,

Something forgotten.

A young spike-haired punk

crawls out the window of his bedroom.

Always trying to escape.

Demanding freedom,

Adulthood.

Something unlearned.

In each soul is a keyhole

Whose presence is unknown.

Demanding what it thinks it needs

To break itself free.

Yet the key is all the creature craves

It craves the key of love.
