Time to Decorate
By awakenedmind

Had to decorate a room who's shade was purple, maybe some will relate to this

Awakenedmind
aka
Michael

Time to decorate says my old mam

As I rush by with brush and pan

I look around to see the room

The colours dark to match the moon

I ask what colours you would like to see

As I wander through with cups of tea

Magnolia is the colour for me

I think of the coats one, two and three

We sup our tea whilst looking round

And start to plan the whole surround

Everything within must leave the room

To have clear space is quite a boon

1st coat on so off we go

It now looks like a painted gaol

2nd coat on and little better

But still not plain, could be better

3rd coat now so we shall see

As the painting now is withering me

Still not right but paint run out

I’m too tired to play this out

If whenever you must decorate

Choose a colour to match and penetrate.

Dark colours look nice as a contrast

But on someone else wall is nicest
