Characters

Man

*The man keeps to himself and is rather quiet. He will defend himself, though, when necessary.

*He is uncomfortable around most people. He is content to be alone with his thoughts. Ironically, his thoughts are what drive him to extreme circumstance. Normally he comes off as rude.

*His dis-interest in small talk causes him to become short with people or to just plain ignore them.

*The man is of great intelligence. Because of it, he looks down on people he finds inferior to his abilities and becomes frustrated.

*No matter how smart he is, the man usually doesn't bother to show it, but he's not afraid to prove his intelligence.

*This man over-thinks everything, and often it causes him to over-react or blow things out of proportion.

*He cannot be wrong. He is always right, no matter the circumstance.

Woman

*The woman is a total extrovert. She talks frequently and it is very hard to shut her up. In fact, if no one is talking she becomes uncomfortable and nervous.
*She is not afraid to speak her mind; very outgoing, yet judgmental and opinionated towards anyone she does not like. On the basic level, she is a socialite.
*The woman is not very bright. Though she can express herself much better than the man can, the issues she focuses on are much less complex or at least addressed as such.
*She often does things on impulse; very rarely does she think before she acts.

Direction

*Hold emphasis in the separation between the two characters. They should never cross into each other's light until the very end.
*No sets or props should be used. There should be only two characters and that's it, anything else is a distraction.
*The man should try to avoid addressing the woman directly or including her in anything he says. He should also never stand until he goes to hit the woman.
*The woman should be allowed to include some humor and annoyance into the scene. This causes her death to be almost satisfactory to the audience, though it really shouldn't be.

Costuming

*Their clothing should be timeless.
*The clothing should compliment the character and "feel" normal and familiar their personality. This is done so they that the characters will not question the clothes they are wearing.
