Insomnia

I feel strange and sick and sorry
And tangled up inside.
Sadness flushes me like fever;
Surges in me like a tide.

I've lost all sense of place and time
I cannot sleep at night.
I pace and turn and cry dry-eyed
Until morning wins its fight.

Heart-sore and dog-tired
I watch the day pass by.
I am apathetic, disconnected
Until dark steals back the sky.

Evening starts to wake in me
The poisoned vines of feeling.
The battle for pre-eminence;
My passions leave me reeling.

I'm nothing in the quiet days
And by night I'm just a stage
For jealousy, for sadness,
For loneliness and rage.

A work that I feel has a lot of hidden depth to
A work maybe that has been written from the heart, if it has I can empathise.
By reading it I feel as though a load has been taken from my shoulder, and I hope if it was needed it did the same to you.
I find that after writing a piece of this nature I have to balance it with a more optomistic piece, well it works for me.

Can't say anything bad about it.

I really think - and this is not meant to be rude at all - that you should seek some medical help. Depression is a very serious thing. I am so sorry to read such a depressive piece of work.
