A dog tail
By awakenedmind

A lighter moment of the day at last and this came to mind

Michael

I wonder why that dog does stare as I sit on my little chair

She stares at me and wags her tail, as I look on and wail

She comes closer but mummy’s there and shoos it off without a care

Mummy says I’ve not to wail, the dog just wants to wag its tail

She comes back, her tail still wagging, as I grab hold it starts its shouting

As it turns I laugh and shout, to mum I said, I’ve got it now

She runs in and drops the tin the dog cries out and what a din

She grabs my hand as the dog runs out and yelps about

As she kneels with tears in her eyes I wonder why she does cry

She tells me no that I shouldn’t do, grab her tail or she’ll grab you

But I said I want to share to wag her tail and stroke her hair

Did I ask to share with her before I went and grabbed her tail

Silly mummy I did say the dog can’t talk to me I wail

So the dog can’t talk I would agree so you shall have to then ask me

We shall ask the dog quiet nicely if we can stroke her fur so shiny

Then she just might wag her tail to tell us all its nice and dandy.

Michael, excuse me, but I can see clearly why I am the only one reviewing this. ha ha. When you get into the Stephen Fry book, we will see a miracle - or I'll have to eat my hat. No, no, this is not good poetry I am afraid. I'll eagerly await your transformation. Poetry - here he comes!

Stephen Fry's book now on order!

I shall await its delivery with baited breath or should that read:
baited pen with ink within
to write another poem from him
better english rhyme as well
so we dont tell him to go 'and put the kettle on'

(that last bit didn't work)
