A Naked Idea

A Naked Idea

Three days, three blank pages, and one sentence inside my skull:
“I would starve geese for you.”
An odd, cruel sentence gilded with the madness of love.
Is there a story after the period or before the first quotation marks?
There is always a story; Will I find it or wait for it or wait for it to find me?
Three days, three blank pages, words of creation or death linger
Waiting for a character to speak them

Starving Geese!

A superbly expressed minimalist comment on the writing process!

For some reason, the phrase 'pulling teeth' has popped into my head - wrenching a poem / story from oneself when not in the mood is painful indeed!

Congratulations on Pick of the Week!

Cheers!
