The Reluctant Shopper

From the sublime to the ridiculous?

Just a whimsy!

Cheers!

John X

The Reluctant Shopper

He grumbles up and down each aisle
He winces at the till
He tries to flirt with the check-out girl –
She thinks he must be ill

More like a dreaded long-haul flight
Than a short domestic hop
He grumbles up the high street
As they land in every shop

“Does my bum look big in this?”
He really doesn’t care
A nymphette passes by at whom
He would much rather aim his stare

She remonstrates with him once more
“Your mind is really not on it!”
“Okay, okay, okay, all right –
I really love that bonnet!”

At last they find themselves at home
Relief and comfort shared
But he’d rather be in Paradise
If only he ever dared

I don't seem to do much clothes shopping these days. ha ha. I keep waiting for when I am a size smaller I think. - but when the big day comes, one thing I absolutely will not do: Drag my husband round women's clothes shops and ask him about the size of my bottom. ha ha. No, no, no. Give me freedom to look at the size of it without a man being consulted!!!!! Well put John.
