The Bookshelf

Since we have moved that bookshelf no longer exists. We now have at least four sets of shelves to make our books more accessable in the logical areas.

The bookshelf stands and looks at me
                        All haughty and aloof'
                        It  towers right above me
                        Close up to the roof.

It contains a lot of knowledge
                        For leisure,work or play,
                        Geography-new cultures,
                        History-far off days.

                There's music tapes and ornaments,
                        Sports trophies and the like,
Model cars and trucks are there,
                        Plus one real tiny bike.

I like to have the bookshelf there,
                        Some things I do not know;
I get a book and check it
                        So my ignorance won't show.

Hi Robru
Got to say I liked this one, sounds a bit like mine.

Thanks Michael, I think that bookshelves are a must and those who use them don't keep them specifically as a place for just books. With the other items the books and all become a part of the daily life of the house.
