Only Bubbles?
By PoetPaul

Think of this the next time you wash the pots!

A billion bubbles in a bowl
Sparkle so perfectly,
Eager to work their special magic
On ceramics, stainless steel, or plastic.
Cutlery and crockery gain a pristine finish,
One fit for a king or queen.
Hands too acquire cleanliness
Sufficient to make them soft and supple.
Lifting up a wine glass to the sunlight,
A thin, rainbow membrane
Draws the eyes
To a swirling waltz of wonder.
Peering closely at those bubbles
It becomes apparent that
Each is a simple, self- contained world
Where myriad hues scintillateIn the brilliant sunlight.
Yes, beyond the mundane
One can find another realm,
If only we pause, and look past the surface.
