How about a 100 word comp with a named theme which has to be written in a different genre every month:
eg. The first theme could be `THE LIBRARY BOOK` and written as a comedy piece. Only those contributing to vote, the winner to suggest the next theme and genre. Again just an idea but it would kick-start this empty slot.

Maybe we could swap genres round. It would be a good exercise for some of us (o.k me) to work on our not so strong areas of writing! |
