Lonely Magpie

Not sure what I think of this which is way it's on here!

If it doesn't make sense to you then ask but it's pretty obvious...I think.

Lonely magpie why do you stalk my life?
Am I destined always only sorrow?
Constantly shadow me with grief and strife.
If so please don't wake me tomorrow.

Angels are drowning in my many tears,
My useless body is wasted, is void.
I sob for my losses, weep for lost years.
Everything within empty and destroyed.

Lonely magpie you have become my fate,
There will come joy with two of you you see?
Is it still not time for you yet to mate?
Two of you will bring happiness to me.

Please save this life by giving another.
Lonely magpie find yourself a lover.

I really liked this. I used to have a friend who was very suspicious of magpies.

I like the line : 'Angels are drowning in my many tears' - This was very vivid and sad image.

A very nice poem. Very thoughtful. I like the idea of Fate - I love poems about Fate and it fits in well with the sorrow of the magpie.

Very well done!

This is so gently sad, and using the magpie as a 'vehicle' is a brilliant idea and relly works.

Lovely, Sarah!

Cheers!
