Oh, well - just trying to take the sting out of the angst . . .

If you guys think it's simply abhorrent, I'll happily delete it!

An experiment in stretching 'rhyme' to ludicrous extremes . . .

Just a whimsy on venereal diseases.

Ha!

Please seduce me with your gentle words
And make love to me with your smile
But please don't give me genital warts -
I'd have to run a mile.

Can't say that I would associate first love with genital warts but it was very funny!

Don't delete it John. I've learnt never to delete work as it can sometimes be a strange form of inspiration for later pieces.

Keep experimenting! (Now that's first love, lol)

I thought this was avery sweet and honest poem...until the last two lines, which were very funny and turned the whole poem around.

I think I will get a few of my friends to read it and have a laugh.
