Sheep Dog

I shall keep trying until I have cracked this type of writing!

She crouches down and watches on

As the sheep walk keep walking on

Her ears prick up she turns around

She sees a fox stalking round

She stands upright and barks out loud

The fox slinks off without a sound

The shepherd looks over where she barks

And wonders what made her start

She checks the ground where the fox had been

And then returns to her flock now keen

She knows the fox may return

And try her luck with her back turned

The shepherd knows that something’s wrong

But carries on because he’s learned

His dog will always be alert

To keep his flock from being hurt

Hiya

I have problems with this for a couple of reasons. I mean... The rhyme scheme is good... the plotline is very simplistic but saying that i really rather enjoyed the last stanza.

I would quite like to see some punctuation (not that I am the puntuation Queen) but I feel that it may lend more structure and tone to the poem IMHO

As the sheep walk keep walking on - This sentence I tripped over a little bit... I assume you mean 'as the sheep keep walking on'

Urmm... thats about all I can think of to say really.
