Touring the society circuit
In the mangled car wreck of her previous relationship
Unable to drive straight she arrived
At the wrong rendezvous
At the wrong time

Pursued by the shadows of rebounded love
She hid in the spark of new promise
Auctioning her luscious lips, and swinging hips
Hips that bobbed like the strawberries in the bubbles of the chilled champagne
To any escacpe pod suitor

Screaming at echoes
Of words long since uttered
The past made for an uncomfortable threesome
Swallowing the bitter pill of subsitution
Once sweet the sugar daddy was turned sour

From lover to voodoo doll
Woken by the pins intended for another
He eyes the overhead circling of white chemical doves
Vultures inviting him onto their wings
to fly back into breakbeat shelter

Now the Brooklyn bridge creaks sinisterly
As a cemetery's gate
It leads the way to the arch of the Grand Army plaza
The headstone of encounter’s empty grave
A love that only happened in echoes

Welcome Stuart...:)

Lots of nice descriptive lines here. My favorite is this one; "Hips that bobbed like the strawberries in the bubbles of the chilled champagne"

In the mangled car wreck of her previous relationship
This line really sets the tone for the whole poem - it's lovely.

Now the Brooklyn bridge creaks sinisterly
As a cemetery's gate
- I get stuck a little on "sinisterly"... have sat here staring and trying to think of something smoother, but I can't... Perhaps, it's just me.

Thank you for this.
