A day on the train
By Chinaski
16 June 2008
I wore a pale blue shirt
sat and watched the sheep
while fumbling with my glasses
ans a dirty-looking man slept
in the row opposite

I watched the hills
and the swirling roads
cutting stitches through nature

On the highest top
there was an outline of a man
Like a guard, watching
surveying
Overlooking the people in the tea gardens
at the bottom of the hill

Eating scones with clotted cream and drinking tea

How sweet the life of leisure
