The darkness rebukes me
She follows me through the shadows of the night
She surrounds me with the clutches of her untamed passion

The darkness overwhelms me
She is all around me as
She suffocates me with her long bony fingers of life

I fall from darkness through darkness and into darkness

I cannot escape from it
It is above me below me and all around me
Above all it is inside of me

I cannot escape the darkness. She is my closest friend
