Andy Murray in personality scare
By woody44
17 June 2008
I think he`s great really. Well let`s face it, he`s our only hope...

The LTA voiced concern today when Andy Murray was seen smiling whilst giving a TV interview. `We are keeping a close eye on the situation,` a spokesperson said today. `With Wimbledon so close it is quite worrying that he has developed this disturbing trait. Our main concern is that he may display this habit during an actual match, which could seriously affect his ability to play to his full potential.` The spokesperson went on to say that as a precaution they will have Bruce Forsyth on standby to tell him a few jokes if he looks like breaking out into a grin again.

Bless him - he's got it made. Continue with a career of galent loser and he'll make a mint like Timmy. Win anything and the press will eventually crucify him.

Enjoyed.

Good short.

Hang on? Wasn't he BBC Scotland's Sports Personality of Year (ahead of the Olympic curlers), who sacked his coach because of a "personality clash"? You must not sow these seeds of doubt in the minds of the pre-Wimbledon British public, woody (it sells so many papers, and they only began queueing last week). Let's hope Bruce doesn't keel over before the main event - otherwise it might have to be Michael Barrymore. Short, dry, sharp and to the point - unlike my reviews. Very enjoyable.

Pan not the mighty Bruce!

Hi Woody
As someone who thinks this whole kicking, prodding, hitting sporty thing is a complete load of balls (and massive waste of time space and everything), I must take exception to you dragging Brucie down into the sordid mire. He's a national treasure so lay off! Besides if you want to have a joker who can really kill a laugh just by opening his mouth, then you need Gordon Brown. That dour face just can't fake a smile and he would certainly bring a much needed Presbyterian frown to Andy's face - just before he crashes out in a straight sets loss to some unseeded outsider.
Laugh? I certainly did.

Hi John_O. How about a match between Murray and Brown - that would surely have the punters running for the door. As for Brucie, I do apologise as I`m sure he is a very good golfer... Thanks for your comments.

PS Andy played a magnificent game this afternoon. Do you think that perhaps...no, silly to even think it could happen. Bring back fred Perry.
