British Summer in iambic pentameter (for Josie)
By Veronica_Milvus
19 June 2008
To continue the theme.

The winter snows have truly gone away
to be replaced by summer's driving rain.
Four inches fell at Curig yesterday
to level all the mountains to the plain.

And to continue with this fit of pique,
(I'm so incensed I've done a second verse),
the tennis starts at Wimbledon next week
It's bound to make the downpours ten times worse!

I like this, and you had to have balls to put the second verse in... Keith.

I much prefer the rain to the sun - then living in gloomy Wales, I'm quite happy.
I'm all up for downpours at Wimbledon, just so long as Cliff isn't on hand!

Enjoyed this V,
Cheers

Love the 2nd stanza. I don't blame you for being incensed!

Mia :grin
