Woman of my dreams
By HardLines

Woman of my dreams, come haunt me again.

Your smile wakes me gently in this soft morning light.
Your soul reaches to me, folded in your arms.
Light dances bright within you, shining out to me.

You come to me in the deep, dark, tender night.
We roam fantastic lands in wonder,
Crossing oceans, the winds shaping to our will.

Through the darkened hours your fire burns deep.
We move slowly in the moonlight.
The sweet, salt tang of you perfumes my kiss.

Your laughter rings sweetly through the darkness,
Your smile guides my heart; your voice calls my name
As we come together in the night.

Flying through the stars, tilting at the moon.
No self, no shame, no place but here within us two,
Joined together in the flashing deep.

We dance, in silence,
Gliding through our paradise, together, apart
In the sweet, hot, summer night.

You leave me as the morning breaks.
The ghost of a kiss lingers on my lips,
A whisper in my empty arms.

Alone, I reach out and let my soul fly
To touch you softly one more time.
Fingers laced, breath for breath, step for step together.

Where are you, my angel of the mountains?
Where are you, my companion of the sky?
Come dance with me again.

I liked the ideas presented in both these pieces - which I think are developments of the same theme. Funnily enough I found them more effective when presented (inadvertently!) as one block of text.
