Coward/Howerd Clerihews Continued
By Brett
21 June 2008

To accompany Noel Coward/Frankie Howerd I did a while ago.

Noel Coward
Unwittingly seducing Frankie Howerd
Began to have serious reservations
Regarding his chosen partner in 'relations.'

Frankie Howerd
Mad about the boy Noel Coward
Confessed to lusting each leg in a stirrup
Yet pleading "Noel, hold on to my syrup."

Noel Coward
Quite reasonably shocked by Frankie Howerd
Replied "Touch that thing? Not upon your life.
I'm off, dear boy, to find myself a wife."

A return to what passes for normality!
Stirrups. What a vivid imagination. And rhyming it with syrup (syrup of fig = wig for those unfamiliar with rhyming slang) is inspired.

Enjoyed this/these.

Did Descartes
Depart
With the thought
"Therefore I'm not"?

Oh ho! ' . . . lusting each leg in a stirrup . . .' Ho! Ho! and thrice Ho!

Phil - Brilliant quote from Games Magazine.

Cheers!
