Walking Sighs
By bobc
28 June 2008
Some times it's hard to leave something behind, even when you know you must.

With eyes that searched to sooth a heart
With legs that carried a buried past
With words that called into the void
With luck I'm found at last

The eyes were focused on a dream
The legs began to fail
The words flowed out unreturned
The luck was just a sail

A path was the guiding light
A path with turns unseen
A path to breach a future sought
A path on which to lean

A falling tree crashes down
A leap to save the heart
A knowing wink to love's goodby
A sigh before the start
