A memory

The light missed my searching eyes
Truth came and slowly went
Passion flooded thoughts of dreams
Lusty wants calmly sent

I let the real things melt away
Or simply fail to start
Bringing to my slate of life
lessons learned by heart

Of course, I knew the path I took
Walked that way before
But I turned my eyes away
And let my demons soar

Now the skies are free of clouds
I aways do my part
To put the river between it's banks
And listen to my heart

So the river flows between the banks
No sadness smites its run
By Heart, returning lessons learned
Are heavily begun
