Santa - 2005
By Rattle_Spear
20 December 2005
Can we remember when this was the time of giving? Not the lust for violence and OIL!

Hi Santa, is that really you?

Santa please bring me sanity.

For this race without humanity.

No fast cars...

No gold bars...

No diamonds or pearls for me this year.

Only peace and quiet for me to bear!

The fruits of your creation.

Are colourful and sweet.

Why in Your name can't nations meet?

Pull out a white flag and enjoy a peaceful feast!

An apt seasonal thought. This would make a very good little performance piece, I think - it has a great sense of rhythm and a very punchy message. There's a minor typo on line 7 ("quite" instead of "quiet") that you might want to correct.

Thanks 4 the cute review.
The day my typing finger does not make a mistake, I'll become an angel...Or better still!
I hope you are rewarded in 'gold' in 2006.
