THOUGHTS...
By JohnnyD

Each SOUL has a PURPOSE

Every PURPOSE has an AIM

The AIM aspires for an AMBITION

AMBITION leads to ACHIEVEMENT

Each ACHIEVEMENT makes one POPULAR

POPULARITY increases the HUNGER

HUNGER for more leads to GREED

GREED loves to ACCUMULATE

ACCUMULATION leads to where?

As GREED accumulates to take care of LIFE

The SOUL’s reason to lead a LIFE comes to an END!

SOUL, PURPOSE, AIM, AMBITION, ACHIEVEMENT,POPULARITY, HUNGER, GREED, ACCUMULATION, LIFE

And just to END???

Well these are just few THOUGHTS…

Ha ha - Johnny - have you ever thought of becoming a philosopher as well as a poet? May I ask you whether these are your own thoughts, or do they come from somewhere else? The one thing I can agree with wholeheartedly is that if you make money the centre of your life, things go wrong. Mondy is necessary to buy the ordinary things of life, but soon can become master if you have no wider thoughts.
THOUGHTS ARE MINE...

Well, whatever I write, I do write from my own life's experience. These were thoughts that just flowed ne fine evening when I was contemplating about life in general. I wonder at times as to what makes each one of us jealous about the other, why do we hate others and love few... well, there are so many things but where do we lead? As I ended my poem, these are just thoughts...

Abstract thoughts!

Hello Johnny.

I find this too abstract, and sorry - the layout with the words in bold just doesn't work for me.

I think the 'philosophical' points you make are thought-provoking . . .

But, why not write about 'real situations' that illustrate your points?

It's the old advice of 'Show, don't tell.'

Cheers!

Thoughts, views and perspective always differ and these are the ingredients which make each one of us unique. The reason I highlighted words in BOLD was for impact and readers to understand, otherwise it would have been just another poem lost among many...

Poems are indirectly directing towards real life situations from the poet's point of view. All my poems are in fact, real life experiences that I have put in words... experiences that teach me something new, experiences that make me wonder, experiences that enrich my spiritual and intellectual appetite.

Even though we live in one world, our lives differ from each other in many ways John... culture, language, upbringing, teachings, religion, way of living, eating habits, thinking and many more things...

Well, this poem was meant to be thought provoking because of its reality, reality about how we humans have forgotten basics of enjoying life by living together and sharing with each other...

Please read GOD'S SPECIAL CHILD - the real life story of a girl I met during my journalistic career. I am sure you will enjoy reading it and will find it enriching as well...

Thank you once again for your lovely feedback. I respect your views with utmost kindness. Take care always...
