Nevermind

Thought it was a nice piece to introduce my poetry with.

How can I tell you how I feel?
I dreamed that I finally did.
A simple opening to a not-so-simple conversation.
"Hey, we need to talk."
Seemed easier.
I dreamed the you picked me wildflowes
and I kissed your hand while it held my own.
So easy.
It flowed.
What holds me back now?
I don't know.
I've started to tell you so many times.
"Hey! Uh... nevermind."
Stuttering, choking, sputtering.
"You kn-know w-w-what?"
A pause.
"Nevermind."
