The SF room has been taken over by a vampire fan club, but I think it's time for a bit of a change.
Modelled on the song of the same title, with a nod to Teddy Bears' Picnic.

If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise.
For there in the woods you'll meet a man with claws on his hands and lupine eyes.
Above his jaw lies a gaping maw full of razor-sharp fangs with poisonous tips;
there's blood on his lips from gnawing on hips and chewing on thighs.
And should a full moon see fit to to rise, his birthday suit becomes hirsute.

The man is a wolf, the wolf is a man, the man is a wolf.
The wolf is a man, the man is a wolf, a werewolf of course!

If you go down to the woods today, you'd better go in disguise.
For a lycanthrope is fond of a drop of virgin flesh in freshly baked pies.
They love to snarl and howl, their breath is rather foul,
But at six o'clock the dogs and bitches will have their bedtime snacks,
Because they're tired little werewolf packs.

Especially 'his birthday suit becomes hirsute'.

Minor niggle - typo - 'they're' = 'their', third line from the end.

Cheers!

Yes, I love it too. Meter may be out a bit but love it anyway.

John, that's not a minor niggle, it's a schoolboy error! Thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers,
Turk.

Thank you, Robru.
You'd need to hear the backing track to fully understand the metre.
There's a soaring guitar break after the first stanza, then there's a short drum solo while the vocalist sets about trunkating some of the lyrics by way of a quick roll around the tongue (which was, of course, fully extended during the guitar solo).

Cheers,
Turk.

I love the repetition that you do with the "the man is a wolf....of course"
The lines about the wolf chewing on hips and thighs was fantastic - stood out for me. I could see the blood dripping out of his mouth.

Regards,
TT
