Itchy Fingers.

An internet version of itchy feet.

Falcon, that was his name
when we met.
The first person I ever
chatted to on the
internet.
Told me he was ‘in security'
told me a lot of things
actually.

Amazed, I was then,
to be talking
to someone in Australia
who had just been out
walking, in the bush.
He seemed so
cool
and I was taken for a fool.

Contact followed contact
in a headlong
virtually hedonistic,
dizzy, breathless swan
song
and though the bitter taste
still lingers I'll always have
these
itchy fingers.

I was left wondering why you were 'taken for a fool' and left with a 'bitter taste' as I looked for a cause for the failure of the affair.

But '...headlong virtually hedonistic, dizzy, breathless swan song' is very evocative.

It's case of don't fall for someone's story on the net. You can never be sure....

Thanks for your words.
